Educational Booklet on Neonatal Jaundice: an Approach for Caregivers

Objetive: Create an educational booklet on neonatal jaundice, targeted at newborns’ caregivers.
Method: This is a methodological research built based on Echer recommendations, taking the following steps: search of specialized literature, selection of information on the subject, appropriateness of vocabulary, illustration of the selected content and elaboration of the booklet.
Results: The results showed an initial literature review with 852 publications through an integrative review and after the exclusion criteria, the sample was defined with 13 publications. The booklet information is arranged as a conversation with dialogues in the active voice, using simple words, explanatory phrases and illustrations.
Conclusion: The material has not only scientific fragments in relation to the pathology, but also empowers users to the recognition and development of actions at risk situations through a clear and objective language.
